Well, I think that I have the new computer whipped into shape, as of yesterday I think that I have the bulk of the available patches downloaded. My old user interface isn't supported anymore, so I guess that I can start from stock.

So next question. Where is a wizard to go to find unsuspecting critters to snare and rain down ruin on? Are doomfire guards still so stupid that you can kite one right in front of another one? If so is Fire so crowded that I won't be able to get to them? Are there better places to kite?

I need some time in game by myself to remember how to play and to sort out the bits that have changed.

Fire is still a most excellent kiting zone and generally empty.
