Well the Ravens got beat on the road in a defensive struggle. Indy barely escaped against a winless team. Chicago waffle stomped a .500 team and almost shut them out.

If everyone stays healthy it would seem that Chicago is not going to be stopped and in the AFC, I am still gonna stick with San Diego as my choice.

On a positive note, the Bucs look like they have a QB! Now if they could just find a special teams and re-find their relentless defense. It's funny, but the commentator for the Bucs said it best IMO when he said that when your team is old and performs they are "veterans" and when they don't perform they are simply old.

I think that the bronco's D is solid...and they pretty much were the reason they won. I don't have faith in Plummer to perform how he did last year. The thing about Denver is that they are very very very quick to cry out for a new QB because they have Elway memories and won't get over him. That could cause lots of trouble in the mile high stadium. Ravens are slightly over hyped imo. Colts need to find a rushing offense and some D or else they are gonna struggle come playoff time. Bengals...solid...I like them a lot as long as they decide to play. Sad to say it but the patriots just know how to win. Malrooney (sp) is a solid RB and Tom Brady...is well Tom Brady. As far as bad news for teams...Steelers are in trouble imo. Everyone says rothlesberger will get back in form any week here, but I am still not sure about that.

To me this seasons seems to have a lack of powerhouses or clear cut dominant teams. It seems it can change from week to week. I think the next 3 weeks or so will be very interesting as the standings will either become more distanced or go closer together. It should be interesting.

5 weeks into the season, and Detroit, Tampa, Tennessee, and Oakland have been elimanted from any post season dreams. Technically they havent been, they could still some how end up 11-5 or 12-4 but that would require them to have to win out and I just dont see that happening.

There are multiple 1 win teams out there. These teams have 2 games, imo, to get their acts together and try to mount a charge to the post season. Some actually have a chance at pulling it off, Pittsburgh comes to mind that falls into this scenario. But needless to say that the 1 win teams have their work cut out for them.

I definetly see that to get into the playoffs this year will almost require double digit wins. The 9-7 or 8-8 records and backing yourself into the playoffs wont happen. There are some quality teams that just know how to win and get it done each Sunday.

Well very very interesting week! Chicago amazingly came away with a win. the Saints beat a very solid Eagles team. the Steelers showed some life against an inconsistent KC team. The once 4-0 Ravens dropped 2 games in a row to go 4-2 against a streaking Panthers (with steve smith). There is only 1 winless team left...the absolutely pathetic Raiders. Things are ok in Dallas but for how long....

Fun year!
