Loss of a friend RL and EQ
Most of you won't remember me, Dhorin (enchanter) and Dhrama (rogue). I was never a formal member of EiE, though I raided with EiE and was a member with those that left Eastern Keep at the begining. I was the roomate for a great many years of one of your veterans, Dalla.
Dalla (Jeff to some of you), passed away from cancer about two weeks ago. I thought that some of you would like to know of this as from what I can see in the public forum areas was an occassional poster and probably still logged in from time to time. After several months of treatment and complications things went downhill very quickly one weekend. It was several days from that Sunday that he passed and I hope/believe that he didn't suffer.
Best wishes to all of you.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Dalla was a valued member of EiE for many years, and yes he did still drop by from time to time to post.
If you are in contact with his family please express all of our condolences to them.

Dalla was much beloved here. He was missed when he retired from EQ and now he'll be missed even more. He was truly one of those "good guys" you were privledged to know, even just in a game like EQ.
We are so sorry for your loss. Please pass on our condolences to his wife and baby Megan. I remember how proud he was of them. Please let us know if there's anything we can do.

Unbelievable news... I am deeply saddened by this turn of events, as I did not know he was fighting a battle with cancer.. My condolences go out to his family and friends. May all who knew him take a moment to remember him in happier times.. Like when he was chewing out Thecklos or Chubz for one infraction or another.. For those that didn't know Dalla, he led EiE through some difficult times, sometimes progressing forward by sheer force of will it seemed. Knowing that he was fighting cancer at the same time makes his achievements in game even more remarkable. Even after he stepped down, he recruited like mad for the guild, he really had a knack for it. Good bye my friend.. we barely knew you

Please pass my condolences to his family. I had offered to post pictures for his newly born a couple years ago and did that so folks here could see the beautiful child he fathered. I can only wish the best for his family and heartfelt sadness for his loss.

I can only repeat what everyone else has said. Dalla was a good guy and knowing that behind the in game fight he had this RL fight going on yet kept it to himself only makes me believe he was an even better guy than any of us realized.

This news is so shocking and so unexpected. Jeff (Dalla) was the personification of EiE, a great friend to many of us and a good man. As has already been said, please pass our condolences on to his family and friends. We shall miss him greatly.

Although I never met him, I feel as though I knew him through his post. I love reading his post, full of wisdom and reflections. He will be missed by all of us.

My condolences to his family and friends. Jeff (Dalla) was a great guy and will be missd by all of us here. I'll always remember him from the way he tricked me when inviting me to EiE after I went thro the app process. Even after he quit EQ it was always nice to hear from him and for him to drop by now and then.

I had the pleasure of having Dalla as a guildmate in Eastern Keep, and unfortunately when i returned to game and joined EIE he had already retired.
He was an amazing man, and my condolences go out to his family and friends. Dalla possessed the greatest EQ memory i have ever witnessed and i will miss reading he witty posts, as will many.
