Wow! This news has deeply saddened me. Jeff was a great friend, amazing guild leader, proud and dedicated father and husband. It is amazing how much someone can touch the actual lives of others through an online gaming environment. There are many wonderful memories associated with Dalla in the game. His accomplishments in the game and primarily as a recruiter and guild leader for EiE were second to none.
I agree whole heartedly with Chania's statement

I only wish I'd had the opportunity to have known him better in RL. As others have said, he will be greatly missed. Please give his friends and most importantly his family my condolences in their difficult time.

Very sad news indeed. To only have been acquainted with him online yet have that setback kind of feeling like, you pause for a moment and say "man", speaks a lot to his character.
/Respects on
I meet Dalla through Albertum asking me to help out with various epic fights when I wasn't guilded. Then he and Albertum got me hooked on EIE. I've had the privilege to have been around some very nice people in this game and its what has kept me playing. The news of Dalla's death leaves me saddened as I'm sure it does you all. Especially, because of the loss his family is feeling. He was someone whose passing leaves a little whole in your heart.
I would like to donate something to his family if it is possible to email me his family's address. Contact me at bhoula@imonmail.com.
Thank you for letting us his EQ family know of his passing.
Thank you for letting everyone know and please pass along my condolences to his family as well. From the serving with him as an officer, to the going out for a few drinks, I've known Dalla through the good times and the rough times and had a good deal of respect for him as a person. Life is too short.
I've been sitting here, staring at a blinking cursor for a few minutes now, struggling to come up with the right words. I don't think it's going to get any easier. I'm pretty dumbstruck right now.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to know Dalla. So many stories and memories from back in the day feature him quite prominently. He was always larger than life. I always have a good laugh when I remember Dalla and Fornza racing to the bottom of the DKP list and arguing about it in voice-chat.
It always amazed me how emotionally and personally attached I got to all of the people in EQ. I haven't played for years and yet when Dyemond told me that Dalla passed away my heart ached as if he and I had talked yesterday.
I cannot say more than any of you have already said, and in all reality I'm not sure my heart could handle trying to find the words.
With sadness in my heart but hope to actually meet him in the afterlife.
~hugs~
Eerian

Although I am no longer part of the Alliance, I too wish to offer my condolences to his loved ones. I am in utter shock and for days have been wondering what I could say to even remotely express how sad this news really is. What I can say though is, I may not have agreed with Jeff 100% of the time, but we had a load of fun back in the day; especially during offtime groups. As a former officer of DA, I admired him for his leadership in EiE, even tho we did not always agree, I respected him greatly for his ideas, opinions and just his sheer openess of what was on his mind. I have kept in touch with many of you over the years, including when I took my hiatus from EQ. Dalla was one of these people. In the time that he left EQ for good, I do remember at how happy he was that he finally found someone to share his life with and then following, shared that he was going to have a baby. May his family be strong and although difficult not to be sad, remember that he will always be with you in heart and spirit. God Bless.
I'm just at aww about this it is so true how people you meet in a game can effect you. Dalla was one of thoses people that not many if any disliked. He will be horribaly missed. I wish his family the best.
I just heard the unfortunate news. My heart goes out to those he knew in life... his family and friends... as well as those he knew in game. He made an impact on many people and I wish you all the best memories of a truly remarkable man.
I know that whether you agreed or disagreed with what he said, there was always reason and logic behind his words, it is a shame to lose him.
I hope his family and those close to him are dealing with the loss as well as can be expected in such dark times, and if ever they need to read kind words about him they read over what everyone here has to say.
Words can not express my condolences.

I am very sadden to hear this news. We migth not always seen eye to eye but I viewed him as a friend even at the end of my eq time. He will truely be missed. my thoughts go to his family and friends.
Hey, Chauncie stopped by and told me Dalla died so I figured I'd stop by and drop a line. It really is a shock, and though I haven't spoke to him in ages I too feel like it was just yesterday. Tragic, is about all I can think of to say.
The world lost a good guy, my condolences to his family.
