It just sucks, plain and simple. Jeff and I were pretty close EQ friends, I guess we had to be since we were always hassling each other in the chanter channel. Its a sad day and I wish his family the Best. I will miss you Jeff, the good times we had, the bad times we had and all of those late night talks we had through the expansions when we the chanters were just buff bitches, always battling to see who could mez more, or who could kill Chubz when he was a pet, and lastly just chatting all of the time. LONG LIVE THE CHANTERS and farewell good friend

Holy crap I can't believe I just heard about this today since I only live an hour away from him. Dalla/Jeff I was proud to have been a member of EiE for all those years and your friendship will never bee forgotten. Jeff represents some of the most fun times ever to be had on a computer and some of the most trying times but thats what being EiE was all about. My friend I salute you and bid you a heartfelt farewell untill the other side.

I was never really that vocal on the boards even during my most active days. I just heard of Dalla (Jeff's) passing about a week and a half ago. It was very hard for me to come to terms that a great man is gone from this world. One who had found happiness with a lovely woman and had a beautiful child. Jeff seemed to be heading in the right direction in life since he had sat as head of his lodge and imparted onto anyone who wore the tag of Echoes in Eternity with a sense of pride and tradtion. I still have no words to express the loss his family and friends must be feeling. Even though I haven't played the game in a couple years, a dark cloud now rests in Norrath because the game is a little less now without him. I still recall when Dalla approached me about apping to EIE. Requirements were something like lvl 65, 100 aa minimum. I believe I was 61 and just about to hit 62 in PoN. And then when I applied with my RL brother Wembley they were going to reject his app even though he was well above the requirements and a stronger player than me. But Dalla put a hold on his rejection when he found out I was his brother. Oh what a fun time it was. I just wish I could honor Jeff's memory a little better but I tried to do so in poetry. You may be gone, but you are not forgotten bro.

Dedicated, to the memory of Jeff. You are missed.
It was by mere chance that I was a beastlord;
A class needed by Echoes to surpass the Ascent horde.
Dol Amroth may have been our brothers in arms,
But we got the players we needed thanks to your wily charms.
You were our mentor to guide us through the Planes,
And suicidally ran us into the Halls of Honor trains.
One by one, endgame bosses went down-
But without you here, there’s no one left to fill your crown.
I never understood why you promoted me from the fold,
Maybe, because like you, I was not afraid to be bold.
I tried to continue the tradition you left in EIE,
Even when leaving I knew who they’d always be.
Oh the fun we had listening to you be so rude,
What more when people found out you were really a dude.
We will share some juice of quellious in Norrath my friend-
When my time on Earth is done and my journey is at an end.

I was very sad to hear about Dalla. He was a good friend to both Kiladen and myself during our years in EiE. Some of the best times we ever had playing eq were with Dalla and our other EiE and DA friends. Dalla will be sorely missed from this world. During our time together I appreciated his candor, advise and encouragement. My condolences to his family.

Since just returning to EQ, this had to be the saddest thread I have ever read. I knew Dalla well from Rodcets very early times. I was in AoD at that time and got to know him very well.
His return to Echoes seemed to be a shot in the arm last year then life reared it's ugly head and I had to quit gaming for a while. Just now returning I am very saddened to read this news and wish Jeff's family my condolences and prayers.

Hello everyone, I know its been a minute since I dropped off the face of the planet again. I have had more then I can bear going on..
It is very sad to see Dalla go..
It reminds us how short life really is
As the scriptures read :
James 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4:15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
And the comfort is:
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
See ya in heaven Dalla!!

HI
I wanted to stop by and pass on my condolences. I am very saddened to hear about Dalla (Jeff). He was and still is a great friend. I know he is watching over everyone.
I will definitely think about the good times and bad times we had.
Thank you Dalla for being a part of my life.
Love,
Jenn (PREGO)

Hello my dear friends, it is with deep sadness I visit this forum to express how terrible I feel for the loss of one of our closest friends, and an icon for Echoes in Eternity. Kilaer sent me an email and informed me of Dallas passing. I live here in Tampa, Florida, and Jeff and I exchanged emails back and forth talking about the local sports accomplishments, ragging on FSU, and cheering on our hometown favorites. I know where he worked locally, and yet I never took the time to just drop in and visit and I am feeling so damn terrible about it right now I cannot even express how I feel. My younger sister is battling cancer and has had 3 operations since January of this year losing both her breasts and I see the will and strength they use to keep their pain to themselves.
Dalla was HUGE for me when I made the jump from Cascade Point to EiE. He was an integral part of the core of the guild and made me feel welcome. My thoughts and prayers are with him today, and to all my dear friends...

and to all those I cant remember names to at this time, I miss you all and think of our adventures online fondly. Im still alive and kicking over on EQ2 but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can compare to growing up playing Kyrro and the time spent with you, my friends, EIE.
My God bless Jeffs survivors, he will live on in our memories.

I just got an email from Gyoza about this. I don't even know what to say. Dalla was one of the guys who made EiE for me. I haven't been around in years, but I still occasionally think about all the fun times I had with EiE, especially when I first joined and the guild was moving up the server ranks, and I was trying my hardest not to be a total newb. Dalla was a huge part of that.
My condolences to Dalla's family.
