Re: Cool ass video
This disturbs me. I (kinda) understand the E=MC2 theory stating that as you (Mass) approach light speed (c), it takes more and more energy to get there, thus anything with mass can not achieve c. And even the real warp drive (Alcubierre drive), which has only been tested once with 'no real results', would only reduce mass. Strong models on that theory suggest it might allow us to come close to c, but likely not exceed it.
As a sci-fi geek, this video punches holes in my favored genre . The joy in Sci-Fi is that it really 'could happen', just look at cell phones! This video, while cool, is destroying some of my favorite movies and making me very sad. I will likely have to spend 3-4 days of heavy drinking in order to force 'forgetfulness' on myself. The last thing I want to think of while watching Firefly is this damn video.

Yeah that was kind of my take on it. Despite the speed of light being, to our perception, insanely fast, in the realm of the universe it's really maddeningly slow.
