With all the changes one that wasnt intended. You can now give your pet any attunable weapon . Yeap they screw up wonder when they will catch it . Parse pet was doing 26k BS with club n normal mage summon weapon . Give U pet a attunable weapon and watch the proc

Pets can use attunable gear for at least two years. Ah know a beastlord that has been giving defiant gear to her warder for that time. Tha warder goes from hitting to slashing when given an elegant defiant short sword for example. Tha warder retains tha gear through zoning and login. At low levels, tha warder was in full elegant defiant plate with extravagant haste belt, and defeating multiple mobs with ease in her 20's (no pet focus).
