As to the Auburn the best team in the land ... dunno Georgia looks good and my boys have them in athens this week after Auburn at home last week .. Auburn made a damn good team look real damn bad ... I am a Tennessee fan always have been hell i live 45 mins from the stadium ( can almost see it anyway fuggin huge stadium) I do truly feel SEC is hands down stronger than any other conference out there .. GA Auburn LSU UT Florida arkasas .. these are top notch teams who can play with any team out there ... god I love college football ....

SEC is always good but im afraid this year isnt one of their better years, possibly the worst Kentucky football team ever gave Florida a game. Auburn thumped UT at home and GA beat LSU like a red headed step child last weekend. Those 2 are the only serious threats to a NCAA title from the SEC.

No one in the Big 12 north can compete. Great weekend of college football though.
Vols step up and take out the dogs.
Auburn still looks good. The showdown with Georgia not looking so good though.
The Red-River shut out in the cotton bowl
USC getting it done against a Cal team that is as good as advertised. Kinda hacked off I missed this game. Regional coverage gave us OK State vs Colorado.
We have 4 pretty good teams in the Big 12 south, but apparantly all you have to be is not Baylor to lay the wood to the creme of the north. Kansas State looses, Nebraska gets absolutly killed, Colorado gets a whipping. So 4 teams in the Big 12 that are pretty good, two in the Pac 10, two in the ACC, only one or two Big 10 teams come to mind, then you have the SEC. 7 teams undefeated out of conference play, though none of them may run the table. Auburn still has a couple of tough conference games ahead.
I am sort of interested in getting a non-local type opinion on Adrian Peterson. Can a true freshman win the Heisman?

This was a very interesting weekend for football. USC stakes their claim as champion, beating probably the second best team in the pac 10. The Dawgs lay an egg against the Vols, taking them right out of consideration. LSU beats Florida, giving them their second loss in the conference and they still have to play Georgia.
USC is a lock for the title game right now.(Think its the Fiesta Bowl this year but not for sure) Even if they do suffer a let down game along the lines, they will still get the nod. If the Sooners have a let down, they will drop to the also appearing.

Well Mat, sorry but Im getting to this late, but such as we do every year at college football season, let the mud-slinging fly!
I hate OU, but Im not a Texas fan. I wanted Texas to win naturally, but since its a 2nd rate team thats always ranked too high every year, and a game from the 3rd strongest conference, I didnt hold my breath.
Heck I didnt even get to talk smack with Dalla, and Vanden about FSU-Miami before that game!
OK predictions it is, and although Purdue is playing well, just like the KC Chiefs in the NFL, they will find a way to lose when it counts the most. Watch a less then talented team like Miami (yes, Im not impressed with them as I have been in the past, but they are my team) mix up the BCS until the final week of the season and they will lose and a team desrving a bowl berth will be on the outside looking in, AGAIN! Im saving my ire for the BCS this year, and looking out for an Auburn (no hard games left) USC, and maybe a Michigan in the top 5 last 2 weeks of the season.
Finally, up to now nothing has made me happier (to include Miamis unbelievable comeback over FSU) then to see Nebraska take a huge bite of humble pie! For all you Red Raider fans out there, thanx for the smile I wore for a week!!
