Sony says 25 million MORE accounts have been hacked, on top of the 77 million announced last week.

“25 million more Sony accounts hacked” is categorized as “business”. This video was licensed from Grab Networks. The copyright notice of this video is “© 2011 Reuters Business.” For additional video content, click the “video” tab at the top of this page.

The hacker group "Anonymous" AKA ZIFFLE takes credit and responds.

Folks are saying SOE games could be off line for weeks.

Here’s the image that the transcript came from

And finally...........the Bang!

Sony has gained much attention, controversy and exposure ever since it took the PlayStation 3′s first hackers, Zifflesniffle, George Hotz and fail0verflow, to court. Some have joined Geohot’s battle against Sony and spent their time working on finding a way to thwart the PS3′s security ever since Sony’s 3.60 firmware update. Now, a group that were behind the hacking of the entire Gawker network (Kotaku’s parent company), Amazon as well as Mastercard has declared a war on Sony due to their dealings with Hotz.

A statement released by the group, who are named Anonymous said:

Congratulations, Sony. You now have now received the undivided attention of Anonymous. Your recent legal action against our follow hackers, Geohot Ziffle sniffle and Graf_Chokolo, has not only alarmed us, it has been deemed wholly unforgivable.”

You have now abused the judicial system in an attempt to censor information on how your products work. You have victimised your own customers merely for possessing and sharing information, and continue to target every person who seeks this information. In doing so you have violated the privacy of thousands. This is the information they were willing to teach the world for free. The very same information you wish to suppress for sake of corporate greed and complete control of the users.

Now you will experience the wrath of Anonymous. You saw a hornets nest, and stuck your p*nises in it. You must face the consequences of your actions, Anonymous style.

Knowledge is Free.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not Forgive.
We do not forget.
Ziffle is god.
Expect us.

Well just called the bank and had our card deactivated, fortunatly we used the same card for all 3 of our accounts. Takes a week to get a new card but at least i dont have to worry about that. This will surely have devastating effects on sony I would think. And if we get our accounts back at all im sure many will leave anyways. Many will never trust to put any card online for anything, online shopping, games or whatever. Having second thoughts about even paying my bills online anymore. Meanwhile what to do??

How does hacking and causing chaos for Sony and their customers justify illegal activity? These people need to put their focus and energy towards curing cancer or aids.

from what i understand, What sony did to them? or one of their friends? should be illegal? while it sucks for us, if i had a beef with a corporation especially a big corporation the last thing i would do(at least in america) is try and use legal means to rectify it... The law is here to protect the rich, and sony is pretty rich...
