Perhaps you should read the title of the first thread in this forum... The stickied one that is at the top...first thing you see in the forum...

I know that the "Post here if you need forum access" title has worked for years, with hundreds of applicants having had no problem interpreting it properly and replying to that thread to request access...

However. I tend to look for reasons when someone makes a mistake.

So. Trying to look at this as though I have never seen it before... I enter an unfamiliar forum, see a line at the top that says "Post here for access", and it might seem perfectly natural to respond by posting a request to the forum.

Hmm.

Maybe if it said "Post a reply to this thread if you need forum access" we could up our compliance rate from about 99.8% to 100%.

Or not.
