Since Football season ended for me in week 3 when the Bucs lost to the Panthers and Sims went down for the season, I have been dreaming of draft picks for the better part of the last three months. I was looking at things and with the Bucs losing so well & so consistantly they stand a good shot at a very high draft pick. With 2 games to go they are 1 game out of first, but only 1 game ahead of about 6 teams. If Calvin Johnson & Adrian Peterson both come out, here would be my picks for this year's draft:
Oakland - Adrian Peterson
Detroit - Brady Quinn
Tampa - Calvin Johnson
and the heisman winner would fall well in to the bottom 10 of the the QB class simply because the NFL is eternally paranoid of a scrambling QB. I hope the Bucs can pull out consecutive losses against Cleveland and Seattle and Oakland might stumble along the way and pick up a win and that would put the Bucs in position for Brady Quinn.

All 3 of those teams need a quarterback... BAD. Each has talent at RB (except maybe Oakland) and WR.
And hopefully Houston does the right thing this year with their first pick. Their 2006 draft could go down as the worst 1st pick ever.

The Bucs have decent talent at WR, BUT let's face it Joey Galloway has more yardage behind him than in front of him. I hope Gruden listens to Mel Kiper Jr's favorite words when he says that you take the best available person in the draft regardless of whether or not you can use him immediately. Someone with Calvin Johnson's talent and work ethic would be a certain Hall of Famer under Joey Galloway's tutelage for a couple years.

I can see Quinn dropping all the way down to the 3rd pick. However I doubt they will take him. They will stand by Sims, and probably take a defensive player.
Peterson will defintely be the #1 pick overall. And I wouldnt be surprised if McFadden from Arknsas was #2 if he comes out early.

I just wonder what is going on in the minds of Detroit & Oakland atm. Al Davis lives & dies by his free agent vet asquistions, and everyone Detroit drafts turns to shit in a couple years anyway, so I wonder who they are going after....
