login problem to game - FIXED

Bareldi, Morwic, and Grunthos accounts are unable to log in to the game at the moment. Lisse and another misc account I pay for are working fine.

I see a thread on the sony boards that others are having this problem as well. Some accounts work, others get an immediate "operation timed out" when they try to log in.

I cannot log in to the sony boards on the broken accounts either. Scary.

EDIT: seems to be working now

That's a scary post =) Glad things are back in operation. Any clue what happened? Wonder if it had to do with their latest legends marketing scheme.

You can bypass it by opening a dos box in the EQ directory and typing:

eqgame patchme

Then you can get in.

I had a problem with the patcher hanging up and not allowing me to to get into game also. I followed all the suggestion and eventually I just did a defrag of the hard drive and haven't had a problem since.
